Adopt-a-Pet Adventure Art Workshop

🗓️ August 12 | 🕑 2:00–4:00 PM | 🎨 Ages 4–10


Every adopted pet deserves a warm welcome home! In this imaginative and hands-on art workshop, each child will “adopt” a surprise stuffed animal to call their own — then create everything their new friend needs to arrive in style.


Kids will:

🐾 Decorate a cozy pet carrier

🎨 Design and sculpt a custom collar using modeling clay

🎨 Art at Wonder Academy – Parent FAQ

Q: Is art included in the elementary school program?

Yes! At Wonder Academy, we believe creativity is a vital part of learning. All elementary students participate in daily core art classes as part of their regular school day. These classes are process-based and integrated with other subjects like science, literacy, and social studies.

Q: What’s the difference between core art and specialty art classes?

Core art happens daily and is included in tuition. It’s designed to give every student a strong foundation in creativity, technique, and self-expression.

Specialty art classes are optional after-school or weekend workshops that focus on fun, themed experiences like Adopt a Pet, Wizards & Wands, or To Infinity and Beyond. These are separate from the school day and open to both Wonder Academy students and the broader community.

Q: Do I have to sign my child up for specialty classes?

Nope! Specialty classes are completely optional. They’re great for kids who want to explore more advanced techniques or enjoy extra time creating. If your child already gets their art fix during the day, you’re all set!

Q: Are there discounts for enrolled students?

Yes! Wonder Academy families often receive a discounted rate for specialty classes as a thank-you for being part of our school community.
